Right Wrist Injuries with Initial Surgical Repair - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit begins with an image of the right wrist with the bones & nerves visible beneath the skin showing the pre-operative condition - right trans-scaphoid perilunate fracture dislocation with median and ulnar neuritis and chondral shear of the capitate. Next, the key steps of the surgical repair will be illustrated, including the incisions, fixation of the scaphoid with k-wires and screw, carpal tunnel decompression, repair of avulsed ligaments using a suture anchor, and fixation with additional k-wires and suture anchors.
