Osteoporosis - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This full color medical illustration depicts osteoporosis using three illustrations. The first graphic shows an orientation to the bone section though the hip from a coronal (cut-way) view. The second image pictures solid bone matrix. The latter condition illustrates a weakened bone matrix, with decreased cortical thickness and a decrease in the number and size of the trabeculae of cancellous bone (but normal chemical composition).
